There is so much to see around Leadville, CO. I explored just to the East of Leadville when I did Mosquito Pass. If you like mines, there are a ton to see.
Here is a map with highlight of what I rode so far, as you can see not much at all however we were eating up time with all the stopping we did to check the places out. I recommend looking at a DeLorme CO atlas before heading out, although I have a GPS it does not show mines. So as soon as we got to this section, I knew that if I headed off into all these squiggly lines I come across mines, I never knew it be so many, and so many old buildings.
